Whichford and Ascott Car Share Scheme (WACSS)

As petrol costs rise and the effects of global warming on our planet become more serious, our aim is to set up a system that will reduce the number of unnecessary car journeys made from Whichford and Ascott.  By sharing lifts, we can all reduce our carbon footprint, save money on fuel costs, and help less mobile residents travel more freely in the local area improving the Whichford and Ascott community as a whole.

Do you commute to work by car, drive to local railway stations, take children to school, or make regular shopping trips to local towns?   Even if your trips are not regular, would you be willing to share the journey with someone else?  Do you regularly drive alone or with empty seats in your car? Do you already give your neighbours a lift but would be willing to do so with others in the village?  OR are you unable to drive, can't cope with the buses, and find it difficult to get where you need to go?

If the answer is yes to any of the above, our Whichford and Ascott Car Sharing Scheme could benefit you.

The more residents are involved, the better the scheme will work.   

It's simple to join our register of sharers : just send an email to pixxie(at)restall-orr.co.uk, giving information about what journeys you make or would like to make, and we will let you know if someone else is doing the same journey.
